If you are dreaming of buying a property in sunny Spain, below are some necessary information regarding the rules for buying a property in this beautiful country.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY:

- Spanish tax identification number NIE * (numero de identificacion de estranjero). It is requested at the time of reservation / purchase of a specific property

- opening an account in a Spanish bank

- ID card or passport

- a copy of an identity card or passport

PURCHASE OF PROPERTIES ON THE SECONDARY MARKET:

- signing a preliminary contract in Spanish (also available in Polish)

- when signing the preliminary contract, an advance payment is made, on average in the amount of EUR 2-7 thousand

- signing the deed transferring ownership and payment of the remainder of the real estate price. If the deadline for signing a notarial deed is longer, a deposit of 10% of the value of the property being purchased is often required. The notarial deed is signed in Spanish. There may be an interpreter or a lawyer in the contract. The notarial deed includes all persons who were signing the notarial deed.

PURCHASE OF PROPERTIES ON THE PRIMARY MARKET:

- signing a preliminary contract in Spanish (also available in Polish)

- when signing the preliminary contract, an advance payment is made, on average EUR 2-7 thousand.

- the deadline for paying the own contribution is set at an average of 30-40% of the value of the property being purchased.

- the date of signing the deed transferring the ownership right is set - depending on the date of completion of the investment
